Resumé:
Brigit Maritz is an experienced business owner, construction manager,
and community activist with more than 40 years of diverse professional experience across
administration, sales, construction, plant hire, and civil-engineering support. She has owned
multiple businesses, including construction companies and a manufacturing enterprise
producing gazebos for local and international clients. Brigit has extensive community-level
involvement, including environmental activism, estuary rehabilitation advocacy, and
participation in IDP and PPP processes. She has previously stood for ward councillor positions
under two political movements and has completed a formal industrial-psychology assessment
confirming her leadership strengths. Brigit brings strong communication, stakeholder
engagement, problem-solving, and community mobilisation skills. She is well-suited for
ward-level representation requiring community presence, advocacy, and responsiveness.
